Making Videos

Want to make your own video for ChartWatchers.com? 

Here is how to do it the easy way...

Step One:  You will need a software program.  I use Snag It to capture screen recordings and make them into videos for the website and the video section of ChartWatchers.com.  It is very easy to use.  Here is a screenshot:



Step Two:  All you have to do is have open the screen that you want to record.  In my case, I have StockCharts.com open with the chart correctly sized.  Then I open Snag It and click on the "Record Screen Video" icon (red arrow).  Then, all you have to do is click the big red Capture button (other red arrow).  The Stockcharts.com web page will open up and you can begin recording.

Step Three:  After you are done, save it, and upload it to ChartWatchers.com in the video section.

That's it!

Of course you will need a microphone of some sort or you could use a webcam if you already have one.

You can also use this program to upload videos to YouTube or other video hosting websites.  This is also a great program for capturing screenshots of your charts for uploading to the forum or blog.  And if you want to send pictures to friends and family with annotations on them, you can use the handy email button in the program.  Nice!

Sometimes it is just easier to create a short little screen recording to ask a question or explain something.  This program is perfect for that without having to shell out a ton of cash on the more expensive programs!
