ChartWatchers

Here are some tips on how to post high quality charts directly in forum:

Make sure your chart is the right size!  If you try to post a chart that is too big, then this website will automatically resize it so that it fits in the forum area.  This will result in a lower quality picture.  A good size for a stock chart in the forum is 600 pixels wide or less.  The height doesn't matter.

How do you tell how big a chart is?  Right click on your chart and select 'Properties'.  This will show you the dimensions of the chart.

You can use any online picture resizing tool like Snipshot if your chart is too big, but it is far better to just start out with the right size chart to begin with!  If you are using StockCharts.com, then you can create a ChartStyle specifically for the forum that is already the correct size.  Mine is custom set to 570 x 375.

Now that you have the correct size, right click on the image and save it to your desktop so that you can easily find it.

In the text box, begin your forum posting and click on the picture icon where you want to insert a chart.   It looks like this:

Now, click on 'browse' to find your chart on the desktop and upload your image.  After it is uploaded, then you will see some funky looking HTML code in your post.  This is your stock chart.

Your done!

But...

If you really want to get fancy, then you buy a cool screen capture program like Snag It and add all kinds of effects to your charts.  Like this:

Ok, maybe that is a little extreme, but I think you get the idea!
