Double Bottoms occur after a prolong down trend as opposed to a sideways trend such as this. Your correct in that is support and 8.40ish is resistance so this could break out or break down at those areas. On a side note, if your swing trading the 1…

The stock is trading sideways and creating a channel between 7.20 and 8.40 so I'm not sure I would call this a double bottom.

Light volume is ideal and I would look for a white / bullish candle as opposed to a red candle. A nice scenario is to see the stock open / gap lower then close higher. Look for things like a Hammer, piercing / engulfing candles.

Break down of fear in my last trade

I'm currently rereading "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas and I've been trying to better understand my own thoughts and feeling entering and exiting a trade. I recently entered a trade in PPD and and set my stop loss. I entered the trade feeling fine. Stock was pulling back on lower volume and I felt it was ready for a breakout.
